2. What we sell
We sell woven homeware made from natural plant fibre: storage baskets, laundry baskets, table mats and runners, wall and hanging pieces, plant pot covers and small organisers. Everything sold here is from our own product line. We do not resell third party ceramics or glass, and we do not sell vintage or second-hand goods.
Our goods are decorative and storage articles. They are not food containers. Pieces whose shape resembles tableware — bread baskets, fruit bowl baskets, placemats, runners, coasters, bottle baskets and cutlery caddies — carry a notice on their product page stating that they may only be used with packaged food or with a cloth or liner in between, and never in direct contact with unwrapped food. We make no food-contact suitability claim for any product.
3. Ordering
- You add pieces to your basket and go to checkout.
- You enter your name, email, telephone number and delivery address, and confirm that you have read these terms, the privacy policy and the natural materials page.
- You are shown the full price including 25 % moms, the delivery charge and the total before you confirm. Nothing is charged at this stage.
- When you confirm, your order is recorded and you receive an order reference. The contract is formed when we confirm the order to you by email.
- You then complete payment. Goods are reserved but not dispatched until payment is complete.
We may decline an order — for example if a piece has sold out, if the price shown was obviously wrong, or if we cannot deliver to the address given. If we decline after you have paid, you are refunded in full.
Orders can be placed by adults with legal capacity to contract. This is not a shop for children.
4. Prices, moms and currency
- All prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) and include Danish moms at 25 %.
- Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you confirm. Delivery is 49 DKK, and free on orders over 599 DKK.
- Where we show a reference price alongside a set price, the reference price is the sum of what the individual pieces in that set cost separately in this shop. Both figures are stated on the product page.
- Deliveries outside the EU may attract import duties and local taxes. Those are not included in our prices and are the recipient’s responsibility.
5. Payment
Payment is taken after you confirm your details. The amount taken is the total shown at checkout, including moms and delivery. Goods remain our property until payment has been received in full.
We never ask for card details by email or telephone. If you receive a message that appears to come from us asking for card details, do not answer it and tell us at support@studiohafnia.mom.
6. Delivery
2–5 working days in Denmark, 4–9 working days in the rest of the EU. We pack within one working day of payment. Full delivery terms, including what to do about damage in transit, are on the delivery page.
Risk passes to you when the goods are handed to you or to someone you have nominated at the delivery address.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to withdraw from the purchase, under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven). The full procedure and the standard withdrawal form are on the right of withdrawal page.
None of our goods are made to your specification or personalised, so the exception for custom goods does not apply to anything in this shop.
8. Right of complaint
Separately from the right of withdrawal, you have a 2-year right of complaint (reklamationsret) under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (købeloven) for defects that were present at the time of delivery. See the right of complaint page.
Natural fibre varies. Shade differences of up to 10 % between batches, dimensional variation of up to 5 %, initial shedding, an initial plant smell and shape change under load are properties of the material and are described on every product page before you buy. They are not defects. Genuine defects — a broken weave, a failed handle, a piece that does not hold the load we published — are, and we deal with them under the right of complaint.
9. What we do and do not claim
We publish measured figures and we limit our claims to them:
- Load figures are static measurements under a stated condition, held for 24 hours. They are not ratings, not safety certifications and not guarantees. Read how we test.
- We make no claim that any piece resists mould, bacteria or fire. Natural fibre can grow mould if it stays damp, and it burns.
- We make no claim that any piece is washable or machine washable unless its product page says so. Most of what we sell cannot be washed at all.
- We make no environmental or sustainability claims, because we do not hold certification that would support them.
- Design happens in Denmark; weaving does not. Every product page lists “designed in” and “made in” separately, and we do not describe our goods as Danish-made.
- The word “handwoven” is used only for pieces that are in fact woven by hand.
10. Wall-mounted and hanging pieces
Wall fixings are never included. Wall anchors, screws and plugs must be chosen for your wall and are your responsibility, as is the installation. Our published load figures for hanging pieces assume a fixing rated for at least 10 kg in sound material. We accept no liability for damage or injury arising from a fixing we did not supply or install.
Pieces with cords or long fringes must be kept away from cots, beds and areas where children sleep or play unattended. Cords are a strangulation risk.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Beyond that, our liability for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from use of a product outside its published load, its stated environment or its stated cleaning instructions.
12. Complaints and disputes
Contact us first at support@studiohafnia.mom. If we cannot resolve it, you can take the matter to the Danish consumer complaints system or the EU online dispute resolution platform. Both routes, including the current fees and thresholds, are set out on the complaints page.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. This page shows the effective date at the top.
